Pull up those lovely locks with a Laura Ashley scarf and a little help from Brittany Jepsen at The House That Lars Built.
My hair is finally long enough to start braiding and I couldn’t be more thrilled. I’ve been waiting 3 years for this day! One of my favorite braids is the milkmaid braid. My hair isn’t quite to the length yet to pull it off because you really need long long hair to have it wrap around your head. So I’m coveting a friend’s hair for this tutorial where I added in one of my favorite Laura Ashley scarves to give it a bit more flair!
Laura Ashley scarf
Step 1: Part your hair in half.
Step 2: Place the scarf around your neck.
Step 3: Create two strands of hair. The scarf will act as one of the three strands to create a full braid.
Step 4: Braid your hair down on both sides and secure with an elastic.
Step 5: Bring one braid up around your head and secure with bobby pins. Repeat to the other side.
Step 6: With both ends of the scarf at the top, tie it in a knot.
Step 7: Tuck the loose ends of the scarf into the braid or cut it off if you’re not attached to it.
Voila! So easy and perfect for summer!
