Our two new fabric collections – Heritage and Romantic Opulence – celebrate European design with these equally as stylish but very different aesthetics.   

Drawing inspiration from the past, particularly welsh patchwork quilts, the Heritage collection marks the humble beginnings of Laura Ashley when Laura and Bernard Ashley printed headscarves on their kitchen table. 

The Romantic Opulence collection is aspirational, capturing French romanticism to create a sense of escapism in soft and airy barely-there colours.

The Formal Fan: The designs of our Romantic Opulence collection have an essence of European aristocracy with a beautiful feminine touch. The Martigues fabric collection features a romantic damask design inspired by an antique piece of silk discovered within our extensive Laura Ashley archive. A classic palette in the most stunning shades, the Martigues print gives neutrals a new name while keeping the aesthetic very French provincial. 

The Confident Lady: The colour navy embodies strength. It is no wonder blue is one of the most popular colours for Laura Ashley fans. The Lady Fern French Navy Embroidery fabric balances a bold navy with delicate embroidery of a simple daisy and feather-like branch design from the 1970s. This is an ideal fabric to create a strong, feminine look in bedrooms and living rooms, ideal for curtains, shades and soft furnishings. 

The Optimist: Reach for the happiest colours in the world if you are an optimist: Yellow and Orange. Radiating charm and elegance, the Heritage Collection includes shades of Dijon, a muted yellow tone that channels summer optimism, and Tomato, a warm toasted shade of red.
