- Go Graphic: “Graphic kitchen floors perfectly complement a white subway tile backsplash, which is always a classic,” says The Tile Shop’s Jill Byrnes. “Porcelain statement floors are a modern twist on Victorian cement encaustic tiles.” Choose a geometric print such as Laura Ashley Mr. Jones, a design by Laura Ashley herself, in Charcoal for contrast in light and dark greys.

- Make a Statement: Use statement tile for an instant upgrade and new look for the backsplash or bar area in the kitchen.
