WORD CHOICE
Much like selecting the invitation, your choice of wording may be formal and traditional or more casual and contemporary. A new trend for couples is to incorporate favourite quotes from songs or poems, while others may use more classic language. WHEN TO SEND OUT WEDDING INVITATIONS
Traditionally, wedding invitations are mailed out six to eight weeks prior to the wedding. Though, if you are planning a wedding that falls on or near a holiday, we advise giving your guests extra notice to prepare for a busy travel time. If you are planning a destination wedding, consider offering an extended period of time to plan for travel by sending out Save the Date cards. The Save The Date’s should be sent between three and twelve months prior to the wedding.
WHEN TO SEND OUT THANK YOU NOTES
More than just a thoughtful gesture, thank you notes complete the chain of wedding events. Ideally, these should be sent six to eight weeks after the wedding. If guests are sending gifts to your home before the wedding, you may choose to send thank you notes earlier.

KEEP IN MIND
You might choose information cards or maps if there are is wealth of detail to share including area attractions, accommodations and the location of the reception.
RSVP cards are a must have for proper planning. For a complete invitation suite, Laura Ashley offers RSVP cards that coordinate with your invitation! A great tip is to number the RSVP cards and have corresponding names to each number, so if cards are not returned you will know who and how many people to expect. Another detail we fancy is the return address label. These are lovely and a real time-saver.
