The 15-piece capsule collection is inspired by catwalk trends
Fashion designer Batsheva Hay has once again delivered a capsule collection ideal for Laura Ashley loyalists and new fans of the brand who are excited to dress in Laura Ashley’s archival moody blooms and feminine silhouettes.
This capsule collection combines classic Laura Ashley prints with new styles to create reimagined designs while highlighting the collection’s vibrant colours and larger floral prints. The 15 pieces, which include dresses, skirts and blouses, are available in sizes 0 – 20, with prices ranging from $150 – $350.
The main inspirations for this collection were colours and shapes, as well as items in the Laura Ashley archive, according to Hay. She said, “The Archive is endlessly inspiring. I wanted the colours and shapes to feel luscious and moody and to make sure each style was something people would stop and ask what you were wearing.”
Batsheva further added, “This capsule has my most favourite prints yet. I really think the Fells Dress in Sutterton will do well because of the romantic shape and fabulous print. I also love the contrast of colour-blocking the light print against black; you see this in the Kipp Skirt in Tea Rose where the print is so much fun, and the black velvet provides a nice contrast.”
The collection merges the new with the old by introducing never-before-seen items like the Swansea Blouse and Carwyn Dress, while welcoming back previous bestsellers like the Square Neck Mini Prairie Dress and the Grace Blouse. The Mini Ruthin Dress, a personal favourite of Batsheva and a best-selling item will also feature in a shorter style to present a fresh, young feel.
