Tamsyn shows us how to work pastel hues into your interiors this season and beyond…

The wonderfully talented Tamsyn from The Villa on Mount Pleasant shows us what AW16 pastel items she loves this season from our Ambleside collection and proves that this is an interior look that can work all year round… Pastel shades are a gorgeous colour for your home and really help give a vintage feel to your interiors. Think duck eggs, pastel pinks, and soft yellows and you’re pretty much onto a winning formula.

Hello everyone, it’s Tamsyn here from The Villa on Mount Pleasant blog!

For those who read my blog, you will know that I have an ongoing, passionate love affair with pretty faded pastel hues. I use these shades abundantly throughout my home, and I take a lot of inspiration from the vintage finds that I trawl flea markets and fairs to find.  These colours are so easy to live with, especially if you introduce them as home accessories, and switch them up according to the seasons.

When the lovely folks at Laura Ashley got in touch, I was delighted to browse their beautiful home accessories and pick some pretty items to add to my home for Autumn.

The Wisteria Floral wallpaper in DuckEgg/Pistachio caught my eye almost immediately.  This pretty wallpaper is reminiscent of whimsical 1930’s wallpaper patterns with it’s soft colours and trailing floral design, and would look dreamy papered on any wall in a bedroom or a living room, or even lining a glazed cupboard!

In whichever room you display the Wisteria Duck Egg Pistachio Wallpaper, toss the Nigella cushion in Forest Green for a pop of  colour, or the Wisteria Floral Duck Egg Cushion, and the Thornbury Duck Egg Cushion for a more coordinated look. Add in the cosy Sherwood Natural Throw for a soft, natural element.
