Hiya, my name is Catherine from Dainty Dress Diaries and today I want to share with you two of my favourite pieces from the Laura Ashley.

Summer is my favourite time as it is packed with sunny weddings, delicious barbeques, and fab race day events. What I love the most about this collection is the classic, elegant and lady-like styles.

I am a floral addict and just loved the print of both the blue dress and red skirt that I have below to show you.

I teamed my floral skirt with a simple shirt; this look is very cute for a summer barbecue or a fun garden party. I just love the strong red colour and pattern. The length is midi and just sits below the knee; I love how it nips in at the waist giving you a feminine silhouette.

I just love this lady-like look and how adorable would it be for an afternoon tea with the girlies. Red is such a striking colour and I always feel dressed up in red, you could style this skirt with a simple camisole top, a red lip, and heels to change it up for a evening look.

I think every lady needs a midi skirt in their wardrobe collection, they are an absolute wardrobe essential and I think they are timeless as you can always pull it out for a last minute occasion and style it up in lots of different ways.

I just love this blue dress, the colour is really vibrant and I think this would be the perfect wedding guest dress, I love blue in summer as it looks fab on all skin tones.

I love the elegant shape and cut of this dress, it is such a flattering shape! I teamed my dress with some simple nude shoes as the dress is so stunning I didn’t want to over style it and take away from the gorgeous print of this dress.

How adorable is this dress beside all the flowers, I had some serious garden envy while shooting the pictures. The gorgeous gardens in the pictures are sadly not mine but they do belong to the National Botanic gardens in Dublin where we had so much fun taking pictures for this look.
